About Pathfinder Clubs in in Minas Gerais

Worldwide movement · Seventh-day Adventist Church

Pathfinder Clubs are a worldwide youth organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, focused on boys and girls aged 10 to 15 years. The movement started in the United States in 1950 and today gathers approximately 2 million pathfinders in more than 150 countries, with Brazil being the largest worldwide hub.

How clubs work

Each club meets weekly, usually on Saturdays or Sundays, and offers activities such as camping, marches, drill, honors, first aid, regular classes (Friend, Companion, Explorer, Pioneer, Excursionist) and advanced classes. The motto is "The message of Christ in my generation" and the aim is "The love of Christ motivates me".

Organizational structure

Clubs are divided into units of 6 to 8 pathfinders, led by a counselor. Each club has a director, associate directors, and instructors. Clubs belong to a regional conference or mission, grouped into a union, and the worldwide system is coordinated by the Division. In South America, the main division is the SAD (South American Division).

"5-Star Club" Program

The 5-Star Club is the highest annual recognition given to clubs that achieve excellence in 5 areas: organization, activities, spirituality, community, and mission. Clubs that receive the title for 10 consecutive years join an elite group of "10× awarded" clubs, the cream of the movement.
